Got a girl who likes to “move it, move it?” Then the “Musical CanCan Skirt Collection” from Montgomery Ward may be the perfect gift for your little dancing queen!

The Montgomery Wards musical skirt comes in your choice of red or pink. Your daughter can jingle and jangle to “Jingle Bell Rock” (red skirt) or the “Hokey Pokey” and “Can Can” (pink skirt) until her heart’s content. The skirt has a hidden pocket in the waistband with a small music box that produces BIG sound. The pink (or red) frilly fabric has a mesh underskirt and fits waist sizes 18″ to 25″ and uses 3 AAA batteries (not included).

The Parenting Pink Scoop: If you have a girly-girl who loves to dress up and dance – then this is a cool skirt for her. The material is super fluffy with three layers (one satin-like material and two layer of frilly mesh). The mesh material also has cute hot pink velveteen polka dots on the outer layer, a great detail that I hadn’t expected. In addition, I like the “adjustable” button waistband that ensures the perfect fit for girls ages 3-8. The music can be heard loud and clear and will provide your daughter with hours of dancing fun. And as a mom of three girls, I must admit that it’s nice to see a product that combines dress-up with exercise. Dancing is a wonderful way for girls to giggle, glide, and get a healthy dose of exercise all at one time. At a retail price of $49.99, it’s a bit on the high end of some budgets, but it’s the kind of item that makes a fun holiday splurge.
