Give some PINK to Charity this Holiday Season.

Childrens

ParentingPink.com is donating to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC to help bring little girls some “pink” this holiday season. We are collecting and distributing pink (we’ll take other colors too!) items such as toys, electronics, books, games, and clothing to girls ages 0-18 who will be spending the holidays in the hospital. It’s our way of helping to spread the “girl-power” and love that all girls – healthy and suffering – deserve.

Children’s Hospitals across the country help thousands of children and families a year battle cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. What better way to give back then donate a ‘pink’ item. ParentingPink.com will be accepting donations from individuals, boutiques, and companies from Nov. 10 – Dec. 10 in an effort to bring a little “pink cheer” into a girl’s life this season.

As some of you may know, my eldest daughter was a patient at Children’s Hospital when she was 10 months old and will never forget the dedication, support, and care that the doctors, nurses, and staff gave to her (and to us). I will also never forget how lucky we were that our daughter barely escaped cancer, and many of the children I met during my stay there were less fortunate, yet every bit as courageous. Children’s Hospital has a special place in my heart and I hope you will reach out to those children and families who will be spending the holidays there by donating an item. Thank you Parenting Pink readers and sponsors for making this holiday a very “PINK” one for Children’s Hospital!

    What a wonderful idea.

I didn’t know your daughter had been ill. So glad to hear it had a positive ending.
