This is a wonderful book for girls and great summer reading! Madeleine L’Engle’s series (including other great books like A Wind in the Door and A Swiftly Tilting Planet) make reading fun and enjoyable for the tween/preteen age group (9-12). This classic series (yes, I read them when I was a teen) never goes out of style. Meg Murray and her little brother Charles Wallace will take your preteen into a magical world where anything can happen – and usually does. If your daughter likes The Chronicals of Narnia, she’s sure to adore this great series.
